Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the sports of combat. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd became more confident after the win and fought 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. After that, she went back to WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and swept her away in unanimous decision to put a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from the loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen made her pro debut in the year 2015, when she signed with Invicta FC. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and was victorious via submission armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows and punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the 2nd round via TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the final fight in the organization. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks by unanimous decision. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came on UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a pound and grind to her to the ground, gaining the TKO in the second round. Ladd remained in the lead as she picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd beat Evinger in the very first round and received a bonus for her performance on the evening. The first big fight she fought in was during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd took home by a unanimous decision following a great back-and forth fight between the two fighters received an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to end Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. Her loss was a unanimous one.
