Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and TV. Her acting career started in the theater. Then she appeared on numerous television shows, independent films and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only get praise from critics for her role but was also awarded and nominations.
