Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress who is best well-known for her films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and TV. Her acting career started in the theater. Then she appeared on numerous television shows, independent films and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only get praise from critics for her role but was also awarded and nominations. Her professional acting d but was in the role of Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In the film industry, she's best known for parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help.
